About The Trip
Our trips vary in length primarily because of the distance we travel offshore. We produce quality fish on all our trips, however,
the longer trips give you more time to fish and also give you the opportunity to fish areas less
traveled by other boats. We specialize in stand-up bottom fishing for grouper, snapper and amberjack, which are a
mainstay year 'round for us. We also get into some of the migratory pelagics such as kingfish, cobia,
mahi-mahi, and black fin tuna when they're in the area.

What to Bring:
Everything is included except for your food and beverage. Please consolidate food and beverages to minimize the
number of coolers. We can provide ice upon request.
Protection from the sun is important, so bring a hat, sunscreen and sunglasses.
Don't forget your camera! You'll want to take pictures. Also, motion sickness pills are a good idea -- we recommend the
prescription patches -- they seem to work very well.
Sandals or bare feet are not advised as our fishing deck stays very active. The main thing is to bring a
healthy appetite for catching fish.
Please leave your handheld GPS at home.
Please note:
No illegal drugs will be allowed aboard this vessel and excesssive drinking will not be tolerated while underway.
We allow moderate drinking, but absolutely will not allow anyone whom we deem to be intoxicated prior to departure to board the
boat. There are no exceptions to this rule. It is our top priority to ensure you a fun, safe trip.

Tackle
We carry a matched "charter boat set" of six custom Dogfish and Shakespeare rods in the 30,40,60 and 80lb. class. Our
tackle is serviced and maintained to provide quality performance. If you would like to bring your own personal rod and reel, please
check with the Captain first. Our equipment has been chosen specifically for the type of fishing we specialize in.
About the Captain and Crew
|
The Captain
Captain Scott has been professionally guiding offshore fishing trips
full time out of the Cortez docks for over 27 years. In that course of time
he has developed a reputation for producing quality catches consistently. Because of that consistency, he has acquired a faithful following of
regular customers and generated new business strictly by word of mouth. But, don't take our word for it - come down to the dock and watch him
land his catch.
There is no substitute for experience.
|
Our First Mate
We have an experienced mate on all of our charters to better serve you.
He works extremely hard to ensure a fun, safe and productive trip and is often
complimented on the cleanliness of the boat.
However, he works for tips only and 15-20%
is customary on all charters.

Cancellation Policy
Our policy is to meet at the dock at the agreed time on the day of the trip. If the Captain cancels the trip due to
Bad Weather, we will try to reschedule the charter
at your convenience, or we will refund your deposit in full. Due to the fact that weather in Southwest Florida, let alone the Gulf of Mexico,
is so very difficult to forecast, we will not cancel 12 hours or more ahead of departure time unless we believe beyond any
reasonable doubt that the weather will be unsuitable for your trip.
